Welcome PhD student Jie Wang to visit our lab

Today we welcome the visiting PhD student Jie Wang from Max Planck Institute (https://www.mpipz.mpg.de/novikova/members). He is interested in how polyploids adapt and survive. He is working on diploid and polyploid Australian burrowing frogs Neobatrachus and tetraploid and hexaploid strawberries (F. orientalis, F. moschata), to study WGD-mediated introgression and the interplay between WGD and sex chromosome evolution.
